PHP 5.2.2 is out!

The PHP 5.2.2 is finally out and can be downloaded at the following URL:
http://www.php.net/downloads.php#v5

The release fixes over 120 different bugs in PHP and resolves the majority of MOPB issues identified by Stefan Esser as well as some security bugs that were identified by other security researchers as well as PHP's own developers. You can find out the full details of the changes made via the release announcement as well as the line-by-line changelog.

I recommend that all users consider upgrading to this release regardless of the version that they are currently running. However, if you must stay on PHP 4, Derick had released PHP 4.4.7 today as well that contains relevant security fixes.

hey, been waiting so long for this major fixes release..

one more thing, i think some scripts are now consuming more memory than before, i was using the 5.2.0 and then just did an upgrade right now to 5.2.2 and my "memory_limit" was equal to 12M, now some scripts don't like this and give that memory has been consumed, i raise it to 18M and everything goes fine but i don't like this or would like to know if there's something i'm missing.. anyway thanks for the good release :-)

Nice release, but

- memory limit had to be raised on most scripts, especially those using xml stuff. I wonder if it is a mere side-effect of optimizations or if there are severe leaks in the engine

- breaking $GLOBALS['RAW_POST_DATA'] was real bad, considering that PEAR sw distribution uses it

I am really starting to whish the qa process was completely overhauled...

Is the SQLite news entry in
http://www.php.net/php5news
correct?
It is the same for 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 RC1:
"Upgraded SQLite 3 to version 3.3.16 (Ilia)"

The current version is 3.3.17.
