Memcached, the Better Memcache Interface Slides

A litte tardy, but better late then never. The slides from my talk on Memcached extension are now up and can be downloaded from here:

Is it standard procedure to restart memcached about once a week in order to empty the memcache pools? we were getting session corruption on our site using memcached and this was a suggested work-around

Not really, unless you are putting long expiry times and your memcached is running out of memory.

Hi Ilia,

I'm revisiting our choice to use the PECL memcache or memcached libraries. Part of what I'm struggling with is the lack of ongoing development with the memcached library.

Has it been orphaned, or is it just "done"?

The memcached extension is being actively developed on github.
