A rather educational article came to my attention today reflecting the thoughts of some US citizens about Canada on public television in what one may consider to be major news outlets.
While I can only hope this is the opinion of a small minority, even that is a little alarming. Trackbacks

Ann Coultier & Tucker Carlson are super neo conservative. While Americans are fairly miseducated as a whole, I wouldn't accept this as the overall view. I'm still trying to figure out how to move to Toronto. I love Canada.

While I understand that Ann & Tucker may represent the extreme right, they still got a chance to voice their "ideas" about US's largest traiding partner over public TV without are reprocutions. I mean if those two persons are known for their extremist views what are the networks doing employing them and getting them doing interviews in prime time.
Ann's comments encourage an invasion of a sovereign nation, can you imagine the response of US had someone in another country suggested that. Derick Rethans on :

You really have to wonder about people who are so fortunate in a world with so much trouble and suffering. When their contribution is to say outrageously negative things about Canada. I guess that they should be considered entertainers. And Americans conservatives certainly find this kind of stuff entertaining. Pretty disturbing. But America is in an unthinking, intolerant phase right now.
